No Parking is the first segment of the third episode aired of Season 1 of the animated series.
Synopsis[]
Mr Bean can't find a parking space. So he makes one of his own.
Plot[]
While in the bathtub, Mr. Bean scrubs up with Teddy (using him as a sponge) and then has fun trying to sink a toy Titanic. He then gets dressed, goes into his car, and drives away. When he stopped at a red traffic light, he saw a cinema along with some film posters he found boring. However, he then spots one displaying the Titanic and gets excited. Seeing as the light is still red, he tells Teddy to stay inside the car while he gets out of the vehicle to check out the poster.
However, as he leaves his car, the light turns green, resulting in an angry van driver beeping his horn behind him. By the time Bean gets back to his car, though, the light goes red again, and Bean cannot figure out why the driver is angry. Deciding to mess with the driver, Bean waits for the light to turn red again before speeding off on an amber light, forcing the driver to suddenly stop for crossing traffic.
Bean then tries to find a parking space so he can go to the cinema and watch the movie. Bean sees a parking space between two cars, but a few cars drove up behind him, and he cannot reverse. He asks the driver behind him to move backwards, and she waves the driver behind her to do the same. However, all of the cars are around a rectangular road, and the cars are backed the whole way around in front of Bean. Still unable to get in, he reverses his car, causing all the cars behind him to be pushed around in a continuous chain. This causes the Reliant Regal at the end of the queue to be pushed away, lose control and fall into a nearby river. As he is about to pull in, a rude female driver cuts in front of him and steals the space he had his eye on.
As he leaves, Bean notices another empty parking space down the road, but the agitated van driver Bean messed with earlier reaches there first, sniggering at Bean. He then notices a short gap between where the driver pulled in and the car behind it and, instead of parallel parking, reverses into the space like at a supermarket car park. Just as he celebrates a moment of joy at finally getting a place to park, the traffic warden appears. Bean tries to act like he owns the car behind him, but the traffic warden sees through this lie and uses his key in the padlock on his car, meaning Bean has to leave. As the traffic warden leaves, he hurriedly comes back in again, but then she spots him and starts writing a ticket.
Before she is finished, another car moves away, and Bean takes that space. The traffic warden then tells him that he has to pay money into the parking meter, but Bean does not have any change. He quickly runs across the street to a hardware store called 'Klank Tools' and buys a screw, only to realise that the cashier is the van driver who Bean annoyed earlier. He spots the traffic warden across the street near Bean's car. Seeing an opportunity to get revenge on Bean, he decides to pay Bean with change that the parking meter would not accept. After numerous failed attempts at trying to get the meter to accept the money, Bean is forced to leave and find somewhere else to park.
Urgently needing a space, he finds another one without a parking metre, but a red Mini takes it. After the man goes into a building across the road, he comes out with a newspaper and drives off. Bean spots a hole in the road and removes all the traffic cones around it, putting them around his parking space. The Reliant Regal, which is now covered in seaweed, from earlier, is looking for a parking space. Unable to see the hole, the Reliant falls into it, much to Bean's amusement. Bean, however, cannot park there with the cones in the way, so he moves them away, only for a black cab to move in and take the space. The driver escorts two elderly people into a building and then leaves. Bean gets a different idea: to block off the road with the cones. After assuring that no one could get by, he finally takes the space, overcome with happiness.
He runs into the cinema, gives the attendant a ridiculous amount of change (which is now stuffed in his trousers), grabs his ticket, and runs into the screen room. However, he only sees a few seconds of the film, as it has already finished. Mr. Bean also shouts "OH NO!" when the word "THE END" appears on the movie screen, signifying the end of the episode and the movie.

Trivia[]
- The Titanic boat, used by people in the 20th century, is an obvious reference to the film Titanic.
Errors[]
• The Reliant Regal's licence plate changes a lot through the segment; its original "A631 LDE" plate shows up alongside its now standard "DUW 742" plate. This happens for a few more segments before being completely changed to the latter.
